On March 16th, H.E. Mr. Li Baodong, Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), met with Tsang Wai-hung, President of the BFA Global Economic Development and Security Forum (GEDS) and Deputy Director of China National Narcotics Control Committee.
Secretary General Li Baodong spoke highly of the organization and preparatory work of the 1st GEDS and commented that the outstanding leadership by President Tsang had contributed greatly to the success of the first conference. President Tsang said that he is honored to serve as president of the GEDS and the Organizing Committee is going to work closely with the BFA Secretariat, to make the GEDS a crucial platform forging international cooperation in the spheres of economic development and non-traditional security. The two sides also exchanged views on preparation of the 2nd GEDS.
